Tacppd configuration stored in file tacppd.conf. Distribution has file etc/tacppd.conf.ex, just copy this file to etc/tacppd.conf. This file you can edit before tacppd start. During tacppd work you have to use command-line interface (CLI) via telnet for tacppd configuration.

tacppd config file - etc/tacpp.conf, with distribution we are provide file etc/tacpp.conf.orig with common examples, you can write own tacpp.conf file before start or customize tacpp.conf.orig (copy tacpp.conf.orig to tacpp.conf before in this case). You can edit this file from editor, but be carefully: edit this file BEFORE starting tacppd - if you will edit it AFTER, than you can simple lost your changes if you will do "write" command from CLI. Remember - you need in manual config file edit only in first-time installation. Or if you will do anything without working tacppd. In other case you should use CLI (command line interface) commands for configuration - the changes will apply after you press <Enter>.
Tacppd like Cisco device has 2 configurations - one running-config, and other - stored config (or startup-config). The startup-config for tacppd - file etc/tacp p.conf, running-config - in memory. You can't reload startup-config during tacppd work, but you can change running-config and copy it to startup-config.
the config file use next things: remark - string, which begins with pund (#) symbol first command should be word "config", last - word "exit"
The configuration file supports all commands which you can use in CLI "config" mode.
